We are looking for an experienced Drainlayer to join our team and deliver high–quality drainage projects safely, on schedule, and within budget. This role involves carrying out drainage installation, repairs, and maintenance, interpreting plans, and ensuring all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and council requirements.
The successful candidate will take pride in their workmanship and support a positive, collaborative site environment while working alongside other trades, subcontractors, and supervisors. Strong practical skills, a solid understanding of drainage systems, and excellent attention to detail are essential, as you will be responsible for completing work efficiently, accurately, and to a consistently high standard.

Proactively identify and report any safety, health, and environmental (SHE) risks, near misses, potential problems, or spills as soon as they arise
Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with relevant safety and compliance standards
Connect pipe pieces and seal joints using appropriate methods and materials, such as welding equipment, cement, or glue
Apply drainage-related skills, including excavating, trenching accurately along marked areas, installing manholes, understanding construction specifications and following plan specifications

Minimum Class 1 full driver’s licence with WTR endorsement
3–5 years’ experience in drainlaying
Proven drainlaying experience is essential; a Trade or Certified Drainlayer qualification would be advantageous
Sound understanding of the principles and technology of drainlaying, including new water connection work
Experience operating excavators to a high standard and other relevant machinery
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong knowledge of site safety and hazard management
Self-motivated, with a positive attitude and an ability to work well as part of a team
