As a Retail Merchandiser, you will be responsible for adjusting and setting shelves for merchandise in assigned retail stores. The Retail Merchandiser works both independently and as part of a team, traveling to assigned retail stores to perform merchandise resets. This position requires some knowledge of setting and placing merchandise on shelves, including the use of plan-o-grams. In addition to setting shelves, the Retail Merchandiser must adjust and clean shelves for resets and communicate effectively with store managers and owners. This position also requires covering routes, stocking, and ordering merchandise to support Service Sales as requested.
Job Description
Full-Time, On-Site Role
Location: 16-179 Melekahiwa St. Unit C, Keaau, HI 96749
You will contribute by:
Installing, adjusting, and setting shelves and moving grocery products in retail stores throughout an assigned marketplace
Placing and arranging merchandise on shelves using a layout or plan-o-gram
Covering routes as needed for Sales workers; visiting assigned stores to restock shelves and place orders for low inventory
Collaborating with store representatives and/or supervisors; soliciting feedback to improve service and responding to requests for service and assistance
Creating and monitoring freshness reports; rotating product based on established expiration schedules
Submitting weekly summary reports to manager outlining tasks completed in stores
Completing other special projects as assigned
Traveling to assigned retail store locations
We’re looking for candidates with:
Strong customer service skills; basic math and reading skills required; ability to work independently and prioritize customer needs
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
Valid Driver’s License and ability to maintain a clear driving record. You are required to carry $500,000 single-limit coverage; however, we will accept policy limits of $100,000/$300,000/$50,000 if single-limit coverage is not available
0-2 years of experience, including at least 6 months to 1 year of retail experience
Some experience in grocery or retail shelf management preferred
Environment:
Office: Office Temperature (65F to 75F)
Store: Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)
