Shift Manager – Airport Operations

Fresh Dining Concepts, LLC
Location: Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (Multiple Locations)

Fresh Dining Concepts is a leading franchisee of GoTo Foods, the franchisor for Auntie Anne’s, Carvel, Cinnabon, and Jamba Juice. We operate multiple high‑volume locations across the United States, including several units at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, and are seeking experienced, motivated Shift Managers to support daily operations and lead teams in a fast‑paced airport environment.


Position Summary

The Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day store operations during assigned shifts, ensuring exceptional guest service, product quality, food safety, and compliance with brand standards, Fresh Dining Concepts policies, and airport security requirements. This role includes supervising Team Members, supporting sales goals, and maintaining operational excellence in an airport setting.


Job Duties and Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervise and lead Team Members during assigned shifts to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of Auntie Anne’s, Cinnabon, and/or Jamba Juice products, including dough, lemonade, butter, dips, yogurt, fresh fruit, smoothies, bowls, and juices.
  • Ensure all products meet brand standards for quality, taste, appearance, and food safety.
  • Monitor and operate ovens, warmers, blenders, mixers, and other equipment safely and correctly.
  • Assign tasks, manage breaks, and deploy staff effectively to meet airport traffic demands.
  • Coach, motivate, and provide real‑time feedback to team members to promote performance and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with TSA, airport authority, health department, OSHA, and company regulations.
  • Manage cash handling, POS transactions, shift counts, and basic inventory controls.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally, recognizing the time‑sensitive nature of airport travelers.
  • Actively support suggestive selling and upselling to drive sales and improve check averages.
  • Ensure opening and closing procedures are completed accurately, including cleanliness, equipment setup/breakdown, and security protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times.
  • Ensure all team members are in proper uniform and wearing required airport identification badges.
  • Maintain punctuality and dependability for shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Communicate effectively with other managers and leadership regarding staffing, performance, and operational needs.
  • Uphold and enforce Fresh Dining Concepts, LLC policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in food service or retail, with supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance/badge.
  • Current food handler certification, or ability to obtain certification as required by local law.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to train, coach, and motivate a team in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency with POS systems and basic cash‑handling procedures.
  • Flexible availability to support airport operating hours.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and airport security regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience managing or supervising in an airport, travel plaza, or high‑volume environment.
  • Familiarity with multiple concepts/brands in a single location.
  • Experience with inventory management, scheduling support, and performance coaching.
  • Comfort using tablets, handheld devices, and retail technology systems.

Job Requirements / Physical Demands

  • Prolonged standing and walking; frequent bending, squatting, and repetitive hand and arm motions.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure with large volumes of guests.
  • Ability to work in confined, busy, and noisy airport terminal environments.
  • Ability to work extended or variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to evaluate food products by taste, color, and smell.
  • Clear verbal communication skills for safety and operational purposes.

Age Requirements

  • Auntie Anne’s / Cinnabon Oven: Minimum age 16 (freight elevator restrictions apply).
  • Auntie Anne’s / Cinnabon Mixer: Minimum age 18.
  • Jamba Juice Equipment: Subject to local and airport regulations.

Work Environment

This role operates within a secure airport terminal environment, characterized by high guest volume, security procedures, time‑sensitive service expectations, and continuous interaction with travelers.
