Job Description
Friends University is seeking to fill the Operations Assistant for the department of Graduate Workshops position in Wichita Kansas. The Operations Assistant for the department of Graduate Workshops includes handling education and online day-to-day activities to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Position requires performing a variety of tasks related to customer service, Friends University computer applications, communication, data entry, and correspondence. Key skills include attention to time constraints and details, critical thinking and problem solving, excellent verbal and written skills, and social grace. Support, as needed by the Graduate Workshops Director.
Work hours are typically 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday

Minimum of one year office support experience required with background in report development preferred. Applicants must be proficient in the use of MS Office products. Spreadsheet (Excel) and database experience are required.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills are necessary. An ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner is required.
A high degree of proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel preferred. Aptitude in technology is required, as training for in-house programs will be provided. Ability to effectively communicate via phone and email with accuracy. Responsible for confidential and secure information. Works with education clientele, so may rely on previous work experience and judgment to accomplish goals and satisfaction needed for client. Ability to contribute to team effort, demonstrate problem-solving skills, and multitask in a fast-paced environment with patience are required skills. Knowledge of general office equipment (telephone, copier, etc.) is required.
