
(CLE) Supervisor, Aircraft Fueling
Job Description
What to expect:
The Supervisor of Aircraft Fueling is responsible for oversight of UGE personnel, ensuring compliance with all operational, safety, quality and compliance standards established by United Ground Express, United Airlines and any regulatory authorities.
How you will make an impact:
Operational Responsibilities
- Responsible for day-to-day operational performance of assigned station, monitoring performance against plan and initiating corrective actions to improve results
- Reviews data on incoming flights such as scheduled or estimated times of arrival or departure, destinations and down line station stops, to plan operation
- Aids Station General Manager in compliance with all safety requirements
- Prepares and submits recommendations designed to improve efficiency of fueling services
- Responsible for compliance with Station Controls for both internal and external audits
- Performs periodic inspections on filters, pumps, valves, tanks, pressure controls, metering and gauging on company equipment and vehicles
- Responsible for maintaining station facilities, equipment, and professional appearance standards for all UGE employees
- Investigates causes of accidents and recommends safety measures and corrective actions for preventing further occurrences
- Responsible for ensuring proper application and compliance of company and airline specific training material
- Willingness and ability to work beyond scheduled times due to irregular operations and/or business need
People Leadership Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining a positive work environment, strong employee relations, and collaborative relationships
- Demonstrates a calm, direct demeanor during periods of high volume or irregular operations
- Provides coaching and direction to the station team to achieve operational goals
- Sets a positive, accountable example for station team to ensure excellent customer service
- Maintain strong working relationships with OAL / airport authorities / vendors / union / governmental authorities (FAA/TSA/CBP)/internal divisions
- Responsibilities include aiding in the processes of interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, resolving problems, and ensuring employees successfully complete company's training program
General Business Acumen Responsibilities
- Aids General Manager with station budget, staffing forecasts and resource requirements
- Ensure through definitive methods that product and services meets or exceeds quality standards set forth; ensure all work is completed in a timely manner, contributing to an efficient operation, while projecting a professional image
What you will bring:
Required Experience, Qualifications & Skills:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess a valid US driver’s license
- Must pass pre-employment color vision test
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen

Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience preferred including possession of a Commercial Driver’s License or experience in the Oil and Gas Industry (preferred).
