As a Patient Access Manager, you'll oversee the daily operations of Patient Access while leading teams responsible for registration, admissions, insurance verification, financial clearance, and patient flow. You'll help drive operational excellence, improve revenue cycle performance, and create an environment where both patients and team members can thrive.

- Lead and develop Patient Access teams across assigned areas
- Oversee registration, admissions, insurance verification, financial counseling, and patient flow operations
- Monitor key revenue cycle metrics and work queues to support reimbursement and operational goals
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, payer requirements, and regulatory standards
- Analyze performance trends and implement process improvements
- Manage staffing, scheduling, recruitment, coaching, and performance evaluations
- Partner with clinical, operational, and revenue cycle leaders to improve patient access and operational efficiency
- Resolve escalated patient, account, and operational concerns
- Support training, education, and ongoing development of Patient Access staff
- Drive a culture focused on exceptional customer service, accountability, and continuous improvement

- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Experience managing patient access, registration, admissions, revenue cycle, or related healthcare operations
- Knowledge of insurance verification, financial counseling, and payer requirements
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Experience improving workflows, processes, and operational performance
- Proficiency with healthcare technology systems and Microsoft Office applications
š Minimum Requirement
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare operations, patient access, revenue cycle, customer service, hospitality, banking, or a related field
- 3+ years of direct Patient Access experience
ā Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- CHAM or CHAA certification
- Prior leadership experience in Patient Access, Emergency Department Registration, Bed Management, or Revenue Cycle Operations
- Knowledge of EMR systems, ADT functions, and payer guidelines
