Position Summary:
As our Molding Engineer, your responsibilities will involve driving the development and optimization of molding processes for high-precision interconnect components, connectors, and various other parts. You will focus on process development, tooling optimization, production support, quality compliance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. You will supervise key product development efforts and implementation through various molding compounds and presses. You will collaborate closely with cross functional teams to support the business and customer needs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- BS in Engineering required (Plastics or Mechanical preferred) or the equivalent years of experience.
- 5+ years of Engineering in a manufacturing environment; experience in connector design and cable assembly preferred.
- 5+ years experience in Injection molding, mold design and Process Engineering.
- Direct knowledge of cost-effective tool modification techniques,
- Understanding of practices, terminology and tolerances associated with fabrication, machining, grinding, wire EDM, Molding.
- Strong understanding of electrical/mechanical testing and regulatory approvals.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, SolidWorks, Access database navigation, and Internet.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
