The Maintenance Technician performs scheduled inspections and routine maintenance on equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical infrastructure to prevent system failures. Responsibilities include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing issues related to infrastructure and utilities, conducting emergency repairs, and installing new devices in compliance with safety standards and policies. 
  • The technician monitors utility systems such as compressed air and emergency power, performs general upkeep tasks like painting and cleaning, and ensures all activities meet regulatory and accreditation requirements. 
  • Accurate record keeping of maintenance activities, costs, and inventory is expected. 
  • This role also requires coordinating with hospital staff, vendors, and facilities leadership to minimize disruptions, while promoting safety by following OSHA, infection control, and building code requirements. 
  • Day-to-day abilities include a strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and practical application of protocols such as lock-out/tag-out, hot work, and confined space procedures. 
  • Proficiency in diagnostics, repairs, and installations is essential, along with a clear understanding of healthcare regulatory standards, including Life Safety, Environment of Care, State Fire Marshal codes, and IRS asset management principles. 

     

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1 year of relevant maintenance experience

  • Must be enrolled in an INTEGRIS Health-approved apprentice program within 6 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare or similar complex environments
