The Power Systems Electrical Technician (DIII-D) is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, testing, and maintaining high-voltage pulsed power systems, DC power supplies, transformers, switchgear, and capacitor banks. This role requires a hands-on technician capable of working independently in a safety-critical environment.

The Power Systems Electrical Technician (DIII-D) is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, testing, and maintaining high-voltage pulsed power systems, DC power supplies, transformers, switchgear, and capacitor banks. This role requires a hands-on technician capable of working independently in a safety-critical environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on power systems equipment
- Diagnose and repair complex analog and digital circuit boards down to the component level (e.g., capacitors, ICs, resistors) using schematics, wiring diagrams, and test equipment
- Collaborate with engineers to resolve recurring or complex issues, including reverse-engineering legacy or custom-built boards with limited documentation
- Conduct functional testing and verification after repairs
- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, failures, and test results
- Assist in process improvements and reliability enhancements
