The Department of Neurology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center

is seeking applicants for a full-time Sleep Medicine faculty position for our Boston location. The successful applicant will be appointed at a Harvard Medical School rank commensurate with their level of experience and qualifications.

The successful applicant will join the Sleep Medicine team, which has 10 faculty members, 4 clinical sleep fellows, a thriving sleep clinic and lab, plus many active lines of clinical and basic research. The Sleep Disorders Center at BIDMC is also part of the Harvard Division of Sleep Medicine which is a community of over 80 faculty conducting cutting-edge research on sleep and circadian rhythms.

Job Requirements:

  • MD from an accredited medical school
  • Board-certified or eligible in Sleep Medicine
  • A valid MA medical license or the ability to obtain one
  • A history of delivering superb clinical care and an interest in teaching residents and medical students
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Expertise in clinical or basic sleep research is especially encouraged

Pay Range:

$185,000 - $355,000

The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations. In addition to base compensation, this role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include bonuses for productivity and quality HMFP also offers a comprehensive and generous employee benefits program to eligible employees, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plan(s) with employer contributions.
