Job Description

Summary:

The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for ensuring an accurate and real-time match between physical and virtual flows of raw materials during all stages of the inventory process, from Receiving to QC Hold, from QC Hold to Stock, and from Stock to Production.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Enters and posts inventory control transactions such as raw material issues to manufacturing orders, inventory site transfers, bin assignments, and bin allocations, among others.
  • Reconciles inventory control transactions to ensure accurate and real-time match between physical and virtual flow of goods.
  • Reconciles stock status report to maintain accurate figures in real time in Great Plains inventory control module.
  • Verifies and validates documentation in Warehouse Receiving Files and posts transactions accordingly in Great Plains.
  • Archives receiving files and forwards them to Accounting for invoice match.
  • Transfers incoming goods from QC Hold Site to Stock Site and allocates materials to specific contracts and orders through the binning procedure.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • Computer literacy, including data entry, data processing, and file sharing.
  • Highly proficient in Excel.
  • Experience in Great Plains inventory module preferred.
  • Must be able to quickly learn new software skills.
  • Highly organized and able to meet periodic deadlines. Able to proofread work.

Mathematical Skills: Intermediate level of arithmetic skills.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and walk most of the day, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Also, must be able to lift and carry at least 20 lbs. Must be able to comfortably do repetitive sewing and work alone without constant supervision.

 

Work Environment: Should be prepared to work in a noisy manufacturing area with heavy traffic and floor vibrations
