GitLab Administrator

Position Summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a GitLab Administrator to support USSOUTHCOM J26 ENHANCED DOMAIN AWARENESS task order. This is a rewarding and impactful opportunity with anticipated start and award in July 2026, offering a period of performance of 1 base year plus 3 option years. The position is remote and part-time at 0.50 FTE.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and optimize GitLab for version control, repository management, and secure DevSecOps workflows.
• Configure CI/CD pipelines, manage access control, and apply code repository best practices.
• Provide strong troubleshooting and automation support to software development teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field OR a minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience in GitLab administration.
• Demonstrated experience managing Git repositories, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring secure DevSecOps integration.
• Experience with access control policies, automated testing frameworks, and software configuration management.

Preferred Qualifications

• GitLab Certified Associate.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).

Required Education and Experience Equivalency

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• OR 5 years of equivalent experience in GitLab administration.
