Job Description

Part-time custodial position performing cleaning duties during home games at the GoMart Ballpark in Charleston, West Virginia. Responsible for keeping premises in a clean and orderly condition in an outdoor ballpark setting. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Emptying of trash cans and cleaning/emptying ashtrays.
• Cleaning of restrooms, including all sinks, toilets, and mirrors.
• Cleaning of locker rooms and other work areas as assigned. 
• Sweeping floors and stairways and scrubbing of floors as needed.
• Transporting trash and waste to disposal area.
• Replenish bathroom supplies.
• Sweep and pickup trash at parking lots and entrances or as specified by contract.
• Maintain custodial equipment and supplies to ensure economical use thereof.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, and one to three months experience and/or training. Prior custodial experience strongly preferred.
• Must have ability to pass criminal background check.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Judgment must be used if items weigh over 25 pounds.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work varied shifts, including day and evening shifts, as well as weekends.

Additional Information

• Beginning rate of pay is $15 per hour.
• Part-time position.
• Position will work varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends as dictated by home game schedule.
