IT Officer

As a member of Munich Re the MedNet Group is a leading TPA across the MEA region. We are currently seeking to hire an IT Officer in Egypt with the following tasks and responsibilities:

Your Job:

· Perform server upgrades, maintenance fixes, vendor-supplied patches and act as a point of contact for server related issues to resolve technical complaints
· Manage all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, and UPSs
· Install, maintain, troubleshoot and update operating systems and user applications
· Test software applications and systems and recommend suitable modifications for existing software systems in order to improve performance.
· Update and administer firewalls, anti-virus, anti-spyware software setup to maintain data security.
Perform Regular checkups on unwanted software, hardware installations, viruses on Servers, Workstations, and record the findings for future references.
· Monitor help desk database and respond to help desk tickets in a timely manner.
· Provide required IT support and training on user requirements to smoothen the operational workflow.
· Provide procurement assistance including, but not limited to, researching solutions, engaging with potential vendors, making recommendations for product purchases and evaluation.

Your Profile:

•  Diploma or bachelor’s degree in IT field.
• 2 - 4 years of experience in server administration & IT.
•  Knowledge in (HTML, XML, Oracle Applications, etc.).
• Basic knowledge on Oracle database and application.
•  Knowledge of different Windows Server platforms, Exchange, Active Directory, TCP/IP and Linux servers.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems and software.
• Working experience on data retrieval tools such as Oracle Discoverer, etc.
• Good communication skills in English, Arabic would also be an advantage.
