Intermediate Aquatic Biologist/Environmental Professional

Your future role on our team As an intermediate environmental professional, you will support a wide range of project development and execution projects in the industrial (energy, mining, linear projects) sector. This includes biophysical evaluations and impact studies as well as approval and permit applications. As an intermediate aquatic biologist, you’ll perform various tasks within a multidisciplinary team and coordinate your work with project managers to deliver mandates. (+/- 50% of your time in the field and +/- 50% in the office) Support project managers in preparing proposals, including strategies, work plans, budgets and more Help deliver fish and fish habitat assessments and related studies as part of a multidisciplinary team Support and lead long-term aquatic monitoring programs Lead and participate in field surveys Develop methodologies, prepare sampling plans and ensure data entry Lead or draft inventory reports, effects assessments, baseline studies and authorization requests submitted to government agencies for development projects Ensure project budgets and schedules are met Maintain effective and constructive relationships with other BBA team members Promote BBA’s environmental services, both internally to colleagues and externally to current and potential clients Participate in innovation efforts by developing new services and communication initiatives within the Environment group
