2nd Shift - Route Runner/Material Handler

Job Summary:

The Material Handler/Box Truck Driver performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies. From time to time, this position will also be responsible for transporting goods around each facility utilizing a medium-sized box truck.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assists with or oversees loading and unloading of goods
• Delivers WIP (Work in Process) material to various departments to support the manufacturing process
• Examines incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify
• Completes paperwork or forms required for documentation
• Determines method of replenishment utilizing knowledge of procedures and routes
• Preparing materials from storage to assembly line
• Operates material handling equipment such as part carts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage
• Inspects the vehicle pre- and post-trip

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Experience driving a company vehicle
• Performs work under minimal supervision

• Ability to get up and sit down many times throughout the day
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds
