We’re looking for a proactive and relationship-driven Local Government Affairs professional to join our Development team based in Amnat Charoen, Thailand. In this role, you will support all wind farm projects under development by leading permitting and licensing coordination, managing relationships with local authorities and communities, and ensuring compliance with Thai regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

You will act as a key liaison between the company, government agencies, financial institutions, contractors, and local stakeholders, playing an essential role in advancing our renewable energy projects successfully and responsibly. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, knowledgeable of local administrative processes, and passionate about supporting sustainable energy development in Thailand.

This position is offered on a 1-year fixed-term contract and follows a 48-hour workweek schedule from Monday to Saturday.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Licensing & Coordination:  Coordinate with government agencies and financial institutions to secure and renew PPA permits and project licenses. Prepare necessary official letters and legal compliance documentation
  • Tracking & Management: Monitor permit status, manage renewals via internal systems, and act as the primary contact point between contractors, authorities, and financial entities.
  • Community Relations: Arrange site meetings and public hearings, secure project study approvals from Subdistrict Administrative Organizations (SAO), and consolidate community reports.
  • Governance & Legal Support: Advise on local regulations and contracts, and support the admin team with corporate document changes in compliance with Thai commercial law.
  • ESG Support: Support the ESG Department on community development and project-related social workflows.
  • Other Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned under the supervision of the supervisor.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or Political Science or related equivalent experience applicable to the role
  • 1–3 years in government relations or permit acquisition (Energy sector or financial compliance experience is preferred).
  • Excellent drafting skills for official Thai documentation
  • Professional proficiency in English.
