Job Description:

WAE - SME for Undergraduate Course Development 

Design and develop online courses for Associate or Bachelor degree programs and work with a dedicated LSU OCE Design & Development team member to deliver high-quality online learning experiences. To ensure course quality, all courses making up the online degree program will be focused on outcome-based learning and aligned with the LSU Online course design standards. The course design and development process takes place within a designated 16-week design cycle.

Job Responsibilities: 100%

Attend all required pre-cycle, kickoff, and scheduled meetings with the designer for timely progress and completion of course development
Attend and participate in all required pre-cycle and scheduled trainings
Complete all pre-cycle activities to ensure smooth start of the design cycle
Create and submit instructional content, learning activities, and assessments for an 8-week course per the schedule determined by the designer
Review content created by the designer and provide timely feedback

Ensure alignment of learning outcomes in the online version of the course with those of the on-campus version, and/or ensure curricular alignment with on-campus programs/courses
Attend course Launch Meeting and prepare for beta run of the course.
Align content and activities with copyright, accessibility, and other federal guidelines for attendance verification.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree within the discipline or related field.

Degree Substitute: extraordinary experience within the direct areas of instructing/content creation may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree per the subject area of the course being developed

Specific Experience:

9-18 credits in the subject area

Operation Essential Personnel - This position may be asked to work during an official closure, but who is otherwise not required to report to the physical campus during a closure and whose absence does not present a risk to the safety, resources, and well-being of the campus per FASOP HR-01.
