Job Description
Assisting the head coach in recruiting high-level student-athlete(s) including managing calendars for contacts and evaluations, outbound calendar schedules, inbound recruiting visits. Being able to run effective team and individual practice. Demonstrating competency in player development. Supervising and directing student-manager(s). Oversee team travel using department systems and contacts. Direct, manage, oversee, and execute home tournament operations. Assist with scheduling of practices, competitions, and tournaments. Assist with Academic Monitoring. Supervising team and individual practice, including strength and conditioning sessions. Adhering to NCAA, Big 12, and University of Arizona rules including proficiency in use of software systems to accurately document program’s commitment to compliance. Participating in community events and outreach. Manage social media accounts and actively promote program’s past, present and future; including use of software and technology used to distribute content to various stakeholders. Budget accountability. Additional duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficiency using computer including Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Commitment to academic and athletic success. Strong organizational and administrative skills. Knowledge of NCAA, Big 12, and University of Arizona rules and regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to problem solve and make decisions. Ability to present solutions to complex situations and challenges Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions. Dedication and motivation to initiate, lead, and support value-added projects. Meticulous attention to detail. Fosters a collaborative work environment through respectful and effective communication. Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to plan, establish priorities, and successfully manage multiple priority projects. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relations. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels and project a positive, professional attitude. Effective communicator using social media tools to promote program, team, players, etc. Willingness to learn Adobe systems for recruiting material (ie. Photoshop).
