Description
Infor is looking for an Information Developer to join a global documentation team responsible for delivering high-quality product content for enterprise software solutions. The role focuses on creating structured, user-focused documentation that supports end-users, administrators, and developers in understanding and effectively using Infor applications.
You will work in a collaborative, international environment, partnering closely with development teams, subject matter experts, and other documentation specialists to produce clear, accurate, and scalable content aligned with product development.
A Typical Day in the Life Includes:
- Producing accurate, high-quality documentation aligned with project timelines and standards.
- Researching, analyzing, and interpreting technical and business requirements.
- Working directly with applications to understand functionality and user needs.
- Collaborating with developers, product teams, and SMEs to gather and validate content.
- Creating and maintaining documentation such as user guides, configuration content, and contextual help.
- Following structured authoring practices and established editorial standards.
- Ensuring content is clear, concise, and avoids redundancy.
- Participating in the full documentation lifecycle (drafting, review, editing, publishing).
- Managing multiple tasks and priorities aligned with development timelines.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in technical writing, information development, or a related field.
- Strong written communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation.
- Experience working with or willingness to learn structured authoring tools (e.g., DITA/XML, CMS).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CCMS tools (e.g., Ixiasoft or similar).
- Experience working in Agile software development environments.
- Background in enterprise software or SaaS environments.
- Familiarity with structured content approaches (e.g., topic-based writing / DITA).
