Dangerous Goods (DG) and battery logistics in particular, are becoming an increasingly important pillar within our Business Unit. Driven by growing customer demand, stricter regulations and increasing risk exposure, we are continuously strengthening our DG capability.
As a DG Specialist, you play a key role in this journey. You help ensure that Dangerous Goods are handled safely, compliantly and efficiently, while contributing to the further development of our DG expertise. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines operational insight with a passion for safety, compliance and continuous improvement.

- A full-time position (40 hours) within one of the world's leading logistics companies
- A competitive salary, based on a 40-hour workweek, ranging from €3,361.61 to €4,689.12, with the opportunity to grow to €5,727.27, depending on your experience, expertise and final job grading

Your responsibilities as a DG Specialist
As a DG Specialist, you combine operational knowledge with regulatory expertise. You play an active role in ensuring compliance while continuously improving Dangerous Goods processes across the Business Unit.
Your responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the safe and compliant storage, handling and internal transport of Dangerous Goods
- Interpreting Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Dangerous Goods classifications and storage requirements
- Identifying, assessing and escalating deviations, damages and operational risks
- Applying Dangerous Goods legislation and internal procedures within daily operations
- Advising internal stakeholders on Dangerous Goods legislation, compliance and best practices
- Supporting incident preparedness and first-line emergency response activities
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of DG processes, procedures and operational awareness
- Supporting the further development of Dangerous Goods knowledge throughout the organisation

The following knowledge and experience are considered a strong advantage:
- ADR 1.3 training (basic Dangerous Goods knowledge)
- Knowledge of Dangerous Goods classifications, Safety Data Sheets and labelling requirements
- Knowledge of storage regulations such as PGS 15 and PGS 37-2
- DG Coordinator certification or equivalent
- Knowledge of IMDG and/or IATA regulations
- Battery safety knowledge, including UN38.3 interpretation, State of Charge (SoC), State of Health (SoH) and basic IEC standards
- Experience with incident preparedness or emergency response (e.g. BHV or equivalent)
- Experience with Dangerous Goods monitoring systems such as temperature or gas detection
- A good command of English is required. Knowledge of Dutch is considered a strong advantage, but is not essential.
