About the Role
The institutional services department is currently seeking to hire a client portfolio analyst in the client services group supporting our global and domestic fixed income strategies.
The client portfolio analyst position is primarily responsible for supporting the relationship management team and servicing client requests for investment information in a timely manner. The successful candidate will be a strong writer and analytical thinker who can work across teams, manage deadlines, and translate investment information into clear, client-ready materials. They must also be capable of gathering information from various sources, including internal investment systems, research analysts, portfolio management teams and written/electronic news publications.
About the Team
You will join a team consisting of 19 client portfolio analysts whose objective is to assist in providing our clients with best-in-class client service on a consistent basis. This role offers the opportunity to deepen fixed income knowledge, strengthen client-facing communication skills, and collaborate closely with investment and relationship management teams.
Job Responsibilities
Utilize various investment systems and analytical tools to produce client reports
Create client books used in portfolio review meetings
Write investment commentaries for fixed income products
Generate customized responses, reports, and/or analyses in response to ad hoc requests from clients, consultants, or internal stakeholders
Complete consultant questionnaires
Review and validate internal data output to ensure accuracy
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline departmental processes
Collaborate with relationship managers, investment teams, and other internal departments to gather and communicate investment information to clients and consultants
Qualifications & Education Requirements
A bachelor's degree with a major in finance, math or statistics preferred; progress towards CFA/MBA a plus
3+ years of experience in the investment industry
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment with accuracy and attention to detail
Familiarity with fixed income securities in both domestic and foreign markets
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written (a writing sample will be required)
Superior organizational skills and strong work ethic
Advanced knowledge of computer applications (strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to address problems with technological solutions a plus)
Ability to work independently and be a team player
Proactive, can-do attitude
Additional Requirements
Flexibility to manage time-sensitive deliverables during peak periods and work overtime as needed, particularly at quarter-end.
Project work as needed, aimed at improving team processes, reporting, and client service delivery
Loomis Sayles is committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation. The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $97,500 USD. Your starting salary will be based on your experience, skills, qualifications and local benchmarking. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual incentive award, which is based on individual and company performance.
