Job Description

Operations Support Coordinator (4O4O Days)

Application Deadline: 8 June 2026

Department: Haulage

Employment Type: Permanent

Location: Tamworth

Description

Greenergy is a national UK fuel supplier and a leading European manufacturer of waste-based renewables. To deliver fuel to our customers, we have a 24/7 in-house haulage operation made up of over 650 drivers and a fleet of over 250 tankers. Greenergy Flexigrid manages over 500 deliveries per day and operates out of over 20 depots nationwide, making over 182,000 deliveries to 3,100 customers each year.

We're looking for a motivated and organised Operations Support Coordinator to join our team in Tamworth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their career, or looking to build on existing administrative or customer service experience, who enjoys working with detail, solving problems, multitasking and keeping things organised in a fast-paced environment.

Working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (6am–6pm), you'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day planning of our operation. You'll help maintain driver and vehicle schedules, keep systems up to date, and work closely with colleagues to ensure plans are accurate and activities run smoothly. Full training will be provided, so we're looking for someone with the right attitude, strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Vehicle Off Road (VOR) events within the scheduling system, liaising with the Fleet Controller to ensure all unavailable assets are accurately recorded
  • Manage all driver training requests, ensuring these are correctly entered and reflected within the scheduling system
  • Plan and schedule all vehicle maintenance and workshop events to ensure all planned events are adhered to and delivered into the workshops on time for the planned event
  • Confirm all driver overtime one day in advance and cancel any overtime impacted by VORs to prevent stood shifts
  • Mitigate potential stood shifts by facilitating driver shift swaps, depot relocations, or temporary use of assets from nearby depots
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all drivers, trucks, and trailers within the scheduling system
  • Communicate clear and timely driver instructions for upcoming shifts to ensure full operational understanding and compliance
  • Verify that each driver is correctly allocated to their designated truck for the next shift
  • Update the Fleet Sheet continuously to reflect real-time changes, including VORs, maintenance, and planned events
  • Support the efficient operation of the Scheduling function by maintaining accurate data, proactive communication, and seamless coordination across teams.
