Job Requirements

At Quest Global, it’s not just what we do but how and why we do it that makes us different. With over 25 years as an engineering services provider, we believe in the power of doing things differently to make the impossible possible. Our people are driven by the desire to make the world a better place—to make a positive difference that contributes to a brighter future. We bring together technologies and industries, alongside the contributions of diverse individuals who are empowered by an intentional workplace culture, to solve problems better and faster.

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Simulation Engineer with strong expertise in process modeling, simulation, and digital engineering solutions for the oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, chemical, and energy industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, validating, troubleshooting, and migrating process simulation models across different simulation platforms, with particular expertise in PRO/II and Aspen HYSYS model conversion and migration.

The role requires strong process engineering knowledge, simulation software proficiency, and the ability to ensure data integrity and model accuracy when transferring existing simulation files into alternative process simulation environments.

Key Responsibilities
•Develop, maintain, and optimize steady-state and dynamic process simulation models.

  • Perform process design, troubleshooting, debottlenecking, and optimization studies using industry-standard simulation tools.
  • Migrate and convert process simulation models from PRO/II and Aspen HYSYS to other process simulation platforms as required by project and client needs.
  • Validate migrated models by comparing mass balances, energy balances, thermodynamic properties, equipment performance, and process outputs.
  • Configure and select appropriate thermodynamic packages and engineering assumptions for various process applications.
  • Conduct sensitivity studies, process evaluations, and operational improvement assessments.
  • Support process design activities including:
    • Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
    • Heat and Material Balances
    • Equipment Sizing Verification
    • Utility Consumption Analysis
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams including Process, Mechanical, Instrumentation, and Project Engineering.
  • Prepare technical documentation, model conversion reports, simulation procedures, and validation records.
  • Identify inconsistencies and resolve simulation convergence issues during model development and migration activities.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives involving simulation standardization and software platform transitions.
  • Participate in client meetings and provide technical presentations when required.

We are known for our extraordinary people who make the impossible possible every day. Questians are driven by hunger, humility, and aspiration. We believe that our company culture is the key to our ability to make a true difference in every industry we reach. Our teams regularly invest time and dedicated effort into internal culture work, ensuring that all voices are heard.

We wholeheartedly believe in the diversity of thought that comes with fostering a culture rooted in respect, where everyone belongs, is valued, and feels inspired to share their ideas. We know embracing our unique differences makes us better, and that solving the worlds hardest engineering problems requires diverse ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds. We shine the brightest when we tap into the many dimensions that thrive across over 21,000 difference-makers in our workplace.
