SENIOR/ASSOCIATE ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST, ENGINEER, OR TECHNOLOGIST – Calgary, AB, or Remote
A Day in the Life
As an Senior/Associate Environmental Scientist, Engineer, Geologist, or Technologist, in our Calgary or Alberta office, you’ll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi-disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals.
The compensation range for this role is $120,000 to $185,000, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location

Support the management of site assessment and remediation project scopes, timelines, budgets, and communication with clients and project related stakeholders
Prepare and/or review technical correspondence, proposals, work plans, cost estimates, and reports

Transfer knowledge, share experiences, and support the training and mentorship of colleagues

Technical diploma or degree in environmental science, geology, engineering, or a related field
A minimum of fifteen (15) years previous experience in a directly related role including experience managing and executing various site assessment and remediation projects
Experience and assertiveness in driving scope, schedule and budget for a portfolio of complex projects
Familiarity with preparing and reviewing technical reports, work plans, and cost estimates
Experience with soil logging, sample collection, field screening, and sample selection
Willingness to provide technical direction and active mentorship to junior professionals and project managers
A member in good standing of a professional organization (e.g. AIA, ASET, APEGA) with a minimum of three (3) years experience reviewing and stamping technical reports
Experience with various in-situ, ex-situ or thermal remediation technologies is an asset
Experience with reviewing Phase 1 ESAs (commercial and/or oil and gas) is an asset
Experience with the Alberta Energy Regulator’s OneStop tool and working knowledge of provincial regulatory frameworks in Western Canada is also an asset
A valid and clean class 5 driver’s license with no restrictions
