Groundsworker I – Facilities Management

Salary: $25.17Hour (Returning groundsworker)/$20.14/hour (new hires) based on a 32 hour work week Location: Facilities Management Position Status: Part-time, Summer Temporary Hours: 7:00AM -3:00PM, Monday-Friday (Subject to change per CBA) Position Number: 890040/64-065 FLSA Status: Non-exempt POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the care of the lawns, tree, shrubs and flower throughout the university. Summer Temporary operations: May 11th- August 23rd, 2026. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Cut grass, trim and edge around walks and flower beds, prune shrubs. Spray insecticide and fertilizers. Rake or sweep grass, leaves, litter and remove same. Make minor repairs. Load and unload trucks, move furniture, and drive vehicles. Perform related work as needed. Completes other duties as assigned.
