Ready to shape exceptional event experiences and drive national marketing initiatives that fuel growth? This senior advisor role could be for you.

The successful candidate is highly experienced in the Vancouver market and is a dependable project lead who balances creativity with strong execution.

You will be focusing on: 

  • Project execution: Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of external-facing events (in-person, virtual, hybrid), ensuring a seamless and high-quality attendee experience
  • Project management: Manage all elements of events from concept, vendors, creative, critical paths, budgets, RSVPs, post-mortem, and more
  • Stakeholder management: Ensure overall stakeholder satisfaction, pitch ideas to internal stakeholders and provide guidance on the best practices for events and projects
  • Onsite support: Attend regional in-person events, seminars and receptions to ensure clients and guests are greeted and the logistics of events are followed through seamlessly
  • Communications: Compose, build and send event communications by email
  • Agency management: Brief agencies and internal team members on execution details and procedures for events in other offices. Negotiate services, review contracts, and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and agencies
  • Reporting: Contribute to campaign and event reporting by preparing feedback surveys, tracking performance metrics, preparing post-campaign summaries, and identifying insights and opportunities for improvement
  • Budgeting: Assist in monitoring expenses, ensuring all invoice payments are processed accordingly and achieving all budget requirements

What you bring to the role:

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in events, marketing projects, and project management
  • Relevant degree in business, marketing, communications or related field
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, organizational, operational, negotiation and team-management skills
  • Self-starter, proactive, solution-oriented approach with the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a broader marketing team
  • Proficient in most document management systems and CRM databases, including InterAction and Vuture
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and support measurement of marketing and event performance
  • Strong attention to detail and experience solving complex problems through creative problem-solving in a team-based environment
  • Flexibility in scheduling work hours to accommodate the timing of events, which may include early mornings, evenings and weekends
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is considered a strong asset but not a requirement

The salary bands provided reflect the typical range for this role in the region indicated. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of experiences and skills, and final compensation will be thoughtfully determined based on individual qualifications and current market factors. Please note that salary will be discussed and negotiated during interview.

Vancouver: $79,600 - $98,300
