Position Summary
The Vertical Transportation Specialist ensures the safety, performance, and compliance of elevator, escalator, and lift systems across a multi-state region. This role provides technical oversight, supports inspections and modernization efforts, and ensures alignment with national codes and GSA standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance on vertical transportation systems
- Conduct QEI-certified inspections and ensure ASME/ANSI compliance
- Review maintenance, inspection, and condition reports
- Support repairs, upgrades, and new installations
- Maintain asset inventory and performance tracking (NCMMS)
- Analyze system performance and recommend improvements
- Coordinate with contractors and resolve service issues
- Support planning and execution of capital projects
Qualifications
- QEI Certification (NAESA or equivalent) required
- Strong knowledge of elevator/escalator codes and standards
- Ability to analyze technical data and system performance
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Experience:
- U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5–10 years of vertical transportation experience
