Compensation: £40,464 - £42,804 / year
Description
Pay rate: £40,464 to £42,804 per annum.* Includes opportunities to pick up extras shifts / overtime at an enhanced rate
Bly House is a family home based in the suburbs of Burton-Upon-Trent. Using a trauma-informed approach, the team intervention care that supports emotional healing and personal development for up to two young people at a time.
Key duties of a Children’s Adventure Care Worker:
- Support 8 to 18 year olds in a residential care setting
- Create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where they can flourish
- Plan and take part in exciting activities—from outdoor adventures to creative projects
- Be a positive role model, helping build confidence, resilience, and life skills
- Work as part of a passionate, supportive team that values every voice

Requirements for a Children's Adventure Care Worker:
- Experience in a children's residential care home (highly desirable)
- A level 3 (or above) diploma in residential childcare (desirable)
- Experience within care, education, mental health support and/or youth activities (essential)
- A Full driving licence issued in the UK (essential)
- Applicants must have full right to work in the UK with no restrictions (essential)
- Values in line with Esland's, such as taking a therapeutic, person-centred approach to childcare (essential)
- A keen interest in outdoor and adventure activities (essential)
- Due to industry regulations, applicants must be aged 21 or above (essential)
