Digital Press Operator

Summary

This is a hybrid role, split roughly 50/50 between operating digital printing equipment and coordinating label production workflows. The ideal candidate thrives in both technical and organizational environments, ensuring smooth production while keeping the central label database clean and accurate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Digital Press Operation

• Operate and maintain the Konica Minolta AccurioLabel 230 with GM Nano DC350 finisher and occasionally the AccurioPress C3070
• Set up jobs using prepress-proofed files; perform minor edits such as adding job-specific codes when required
• Conduct routine press maintenance, monitor consumables, and request inventory replenishment as needed
• Ensure output meets quality standards and deadlines

Label Coordination

• Manage and maintain the Central Label Database, ensuring all artwork files are accurate, organized, and up to date
• Liaise with the internal design team to track new label requests, revisions, and approvals
• Assist with proofing and ensure clear communication between Operations and Design teams
• Schedule label jobs effectively to optimize press time and resources

• Strong technical aptitude and computer literacy, with confidence in handling digital workflows
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Clear communicator, able to stay composed in demanding situations
• Growth mindset and willingness to learn new processes and technologies
  

Education/Experience

• 2+ years in a digital press or print production environment (label printing experience preferred but not required)
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign; Fiery RIP knowledge a plus
