Job Description
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and sterile environment for assigned areas.
Duties and Responsibilities: Vacuuming, sweeping, and emptying trash receptacles; Cleans fixtures, blinds, pictures, shelves, drapes and ashtrays; Wash windows, restrooms and kitchenettes, employee lounges, porches, entryways, walls, doors, and windows as needed; Move furniture; Refills toilet supplies in restrooms and hand sanitizer units as needed; Shampoo carpets, strips and waxes floors, as required; Shovels snow in entryways as required; Mop floors on a regular basis; Serves on an on-call list to assist with emergency cleanups; Maintain regular attendance; Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instruction; Knowledge in properly handling hazardous chemicals and materials; Knowledge in proper cleaning techniques; Ability to use a ladder and operate cleaning equipment (burnishes, buffers, etc.); Knowledge of safety procedures; Ability to read and write effectively.
