Ensures operation of electrical and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on hydraulic, pneumatic, steam, gas, acid, water, coolant systems, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications
Completes or updates all maintenance related documentation according to sites document control procedure: work orders, reports, requisitions, PM tasks, timecards, maintenance manuals, and surveys
Condition monitoring- locates sources of problems by observing devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments, initiate corrective actions to prevent unscheduled downtime
Troubleshooting malfunctions- selects logical approach to “troubleshooting”, repair problems, and write detailed explanation on cause of malfunction
Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts
Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance
Fabricates repair parts as necessary by using machine shop instruments and equipment
Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by following parts check out procedure; checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders (as needed) ; verifying receipt
Conserve’s maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
Provides electrical and mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests
Installation of machinery: leveling, aligning, testing, and debugging Provide expertise in Siemens PLC Control Systems for troubleshooting of Automation and instrumentation
Able to read and follow drawings and Document / communicate all machine control modifications to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Provide input for documentation and electronic versions of all electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics including panel layouts, PLC and HMI programs
Use required control software, including PLCs, HMIs and various motor drive systems
Operates production equipment in conjunction with required maintenance
Performs Lock-out duties as necessary for all energy sources as the Authorized Person
Updating daily logs and entering work orders
Coordinate Contractors through the issuing of Work Permits (including safety release for confined space, hot work, elevated work, Job Hazard Analysis and others)
Work on a 4-star, swing shift schedule
