Category Manager – Indirect Procurement
Join Toll Group's Procurement team and play a key role in delivering strategic procurement outcomes across a broad portfolio of indirect spend categories.
This role is responsible for developing category strategies, leading sourcing initiatives, managing strategic supplier relationships, and partnering with stakeholders across the business to deliver commercial value, operational efficiency and risk management outcomes.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Toll's procurement transformation journey and help build best-practice category management capability across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute category strategies across assigned indirect spend portfolios, aligned to business priorities and procurement objectives.
Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including market analysis, tendering, supplier evaluation, commercial negotiations and contract implementation.
Deliver measurable value outcomes through cost optimisation, supplier performance improvement, risk mitigation and innovation initiatives.
Manage strategic supplier relationships, governance forums, contract performance and continuous improvement programs.
Partner with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver commercially robust procurement solutions.
Provide commercial leadership and procurement expertise across a broad range of indirect spend categories.
Ensure sourcing and contracting activities comply with procurement governance, policy requirements and delegated authorities.
Develop category insights, market intelligence and executive reporting to support business decision-making.
Contribute to procurement transformation initiatives, process improvement and capability uplift across the Procurement function.
About You
You will be an experienced procurement professional who enjoys working in a complex environment and partnering with stakeholders to deliver commercial outcomes.
You will bring:
5–10 years' experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing or Category Management within a large corporate environment.
Demonstrated experience managing indirect spend categories such as Professional Services, Technology, Corporate Services, Facilities Management, Travel, HR Services or similar.
Strong category strategy development, sourcing and supplier relationship management capability.
Advanced commercial negotiation and contract management experience.
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including experience engaging senior leaders and executives.
Experience working within matrixed organisations and managing competing stakeholder priorities.
Exposure to procurement platforms such as SAP, Ariba, Coupa or equivalent systems
