Social Media Intern, YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City

Location: Various YMCA branches across the association

Reports to: Associate Director of Communications

Hours: Up to 4 hours/week
Compensation: $10–$15/hour + $40 monthly phone stipend + mileage reimbursement

Position Overview

We’re seeking creative, self-motivated Social Media Interns to help amplify the YMCA’s presence across platforms like Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. Interns will create engaging, branch-specific video content that reflects the vibrancy of our programs, events, and community. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in digital storytelling, trend analysis, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Create short-form video content (Reels, TikTok's, etc.) tailored to individual branches
• Travel between YMCA branches to capture and produce content
• Plan content in advance while staying responsive to emerging social media trends
• Stay informed about upcoming programs and events across the association
• Build relationships with staff and members to highlight authentic YMCA stories
• Ensure all content aligns with YMCA brand standards and values

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a local college or university
• Must have reliable transportation to travel between branches
