General Purpose of Job
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for helping agency teams identify, source, and recruit top talent. This role works collaboratively with various departments to understand their hiring needs and support the recruitment process. The Talent Acquisition Specialist assists in filling open positions while providing guidance and support to hiring managers. All efforts made are aligned to meet the agency’s staffing needs and maintain a positive workplace environment and healthy organizational culture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate with hiring managers and department teams to identify staffing needs.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of hiring processes across agency departments to ensure a positive and consistent candidate experience.
- Source and attract qualified applicants through various recruitment channels.
- Review and screen applicant resumes and applications.
- Assist in developing job descriptions and interview questions that accurately reflect the requirements of each position.
- Post and update agency job listings on all agency recruitment platforms.
- Support in the planning and organization of internal and external job fairs
- Attend all recruitment events & job fairs for the agency
- Assist hiring managers throughout the interview process, including scheduling and coordinating interviews.
- Maintain accurate candidate records, including resumes, applications, and interview notes.
- Must be able to drive and have reliable transportation to perform required field-based activities
- Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and agency goals, as needed and appropriate to the position.
Working HOurs
Children’s Network of Hillsborough’s standard business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. This position is an in-office based position with fieldwork requirements, that averages 40 hours per week. Work hours may vary outside of these standard hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to meet operational demands. All hours worked will be compensated in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and agency policies, including applicable overtime and other compensation requirements
Travel
Travel within and outside of Hillsborough County is required. The employee must be able to drive and have reliable transportation to perform the essential functions of the position.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
- 2–5 years of experience in talent management/acquisition, recruitment, human resources, human services preferred
- Familiarity with recruitment platforms (ex. Paycom, Indeed, Handshake, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) etc.) preferred
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent certification preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business documents, policies, and regulations is essential. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from various stakeholders of the agency. This position also requires the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, management, and external stakeholders.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Demonstrates strong mathematical skills essential for analyzing data, managing budgets, and optimizing operational efficiency. Proficient in performing financial calculations, interpreting statistical data, and developing forecasts, they support data-driven decision-making and strategic planning. Their expertise includes working with complex metrics, identifying trends, and evaluating key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure informed operational adjustments.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to be proactive, as well as handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
This role requires the ability to perform field and community-based work, including traveling to various locations, conducting home visits, and attending meetings or events. The position may involve prolonged periods of standing, walking, and driving, as well as occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds. Flexibility and stamina are essential to effectively engage with families in diverse settings and respond to needs as they arise. WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is an in-office position with both administrative and field work responsibilities. The noise level
in the office is typically moderate. The role involves travel between agency locations
and to community settings for field work, as well as extended periods of computer use and
frequent communication across multiple departments. Field work may include but is not limited
to job shadowing, and collaboration with external partners. Reasonable
