Job Description
SUMMARY
The Preparatory Department seeks experienced dance instructors with expertise in teaching ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and hip-hop. Instructors are responsible for teaching a variety of dance classes and may also serve as choreographers, as needed.
The PBA Preparatory Program in Dance offers age-appropriate instruction for students ages five through the teen years across all disciplines. Students experience the joy of movement while developing strong technical foundations as they progress through each level of training.
Instructors provide the discipline, guidance, and individualized attention necessary for students to achieve their personal goals. They play a vital role in skill development and artistic growth, challenging and inspiring students to reach their highest potential while fostering a lasting respect and love for dance in all its forms.
- Successful candidates will have earned a BA, MA, or MFA in Dance, or possess commensurate professional experience.
- Applicants must demonstrate a distinguished record of excellence in teaching across a wide range of ages and abilities.
- Candidates must also be able to articulate and demonstrate how their Christian faith informs, enriches, and undergirds their teaching philosophy.
