Key job responsibilities
• Coordinate schedules, development and organizational meetings, along with creative calls with producers.
• Manage the internal flow of information through pitch to development to production to post
• Serve as a liaison between the Canadian development team and other Amazon Studios departments (e.g., Production, Legal, Marketing, other creative teams) to facilitate smooth project progression.
• Review incoming pitch materials, write detailed coverage, and provide creative recommendations to the development team to inform greenlight decisions.
• Research and source emerging talent across Canada, to help build a pipeline of diverse creative voices.
• Create and maintain weekly development reports and internal tracking documents, keeping cross-functional teams informed on slate status and project milestones.
• Monitor the creative landscape, tracking writers, directors, and industry trends relevant to the team's development strategy.
• Support ad hoc development initiatives and cross-team projects as directed by the Head of Canadian Originals.
Amazon Studios is seeking a Development Coordinator to join our Toronto Office, supporting the Canadian Development Team. In this role, you will be integral to the day-to-day operations of the development
- 2+ years of studio or production company assistant experience
- Experience assessing industry talent and trends
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Experience handling confidential information
- Experience managing multiple complex calendars, planning and organizing events of all sizes, and coordinating domestic and international travel, or experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of creation of content end to end
- Knowledge of entertainment industry trends and players

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
