JOB SUMMARY: Assistants are responsible for Weinstein Center Member Services operations during assigned shifts. Primary responsibilities include providing excellent customer service and information to all Weinstein Center members. Provide locker assignments, distribute and collect informal recreation equipment, and register members for programs, classes, services, or trips. Enroll members in the Fusion software system. 

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES: 

  • Greets all visitors and members. Directs individuals as needed. 

  • Provides current program and schedule information to members by phone and in person. Answers questions and distributes printed materials as needed. 

  • Assist members in creating account access to the FusionGo app and member portal. 

  • Ensures eligibility policies are enforced. Enrolls members in the Fusion system. 

  • Utilizing the Fusion software, enrolls members in various programs or services 

  • Provides accurate membership information to prospective members 

  • Distributes informal recreation equipment following all check-out procedures 

  • Documents and stores all Lost & Found items 

  • Documents and assigns lockers and locks for all locker rooms inside the Weinstein Center 

  • Responsible for daily racquetball and squash court reservations. 

  • Processed all guest fee transactions, including cash and check payments 

  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment 

  • Communicates with the On-duty Facility Manager as needed 

  • Serves as a first responder in the event of an emergency in the Weinstein Center 

  • Attends all scheduled training and monthly meetings. Follows all emergency procedures in compliance with the risk management plan. Complies with all Recreation employee guidelines.  

  • Provides a welcoming and inclusive environment for all patrons in Health & Well-being facilities, programs, and communications while providing a commitment to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Prior experience with cash handling is preferred 

  • Ability to read, interpret, and enforce policies and procedures 

  • Dependable and able to work a flexible schedule 

  • Current CPR/AED certification required within 30 days of employment 

SCHEDULE: Varies, less than 20 hours per week

SALARY: $15.00 per hour
