Job Description

Genesis is a global co-founding IT company and one of the largest publishers of non-gaming apps in the world. We partner with top entrepreneurs across Central and Eastern Europe to build and scale global technology businesses.

Within our ecosystem, we launch products, expand them across multiple markets, and support them through every stage – from idea to independent company.

We are now looking for a Legal Counsel in Poland who will become a legal partner for our local operations – helping us build scalable processes, support international teams, and ensure smooth and compliant growth.

This is a position for someone who wants to own a function, build systems, and directly influence how the business operates.

Your role

You will work at the intersection of employment, immigration, and operational legal support, ensuring that our teams in Poland can hire, relocate, and operate seamlessly.

As our Legal Counsel in Poland, you will be the primary legal point of contact for all Polish employees and contractors of the Genesis Group. You will own employment law, immigration, and commercial contracts – shaping compliance frameworks, managing external advisors, and ensuring the company operates at the highest standard of legal integrity.

What you will do

Employment & Workforce Structuring

  • Draft and review employment and B2B contracts under Polish law
  • Advise on hiring models, contractor structures, and workforce setup
  • Support HR and business teams on day-to-day employment matters
  • Ensure compliance with local labour regulations while keeping processes efficient

Immigration & Relocation

  • Support international employees and contractors with relocation to Poland
  • Manage visa, residence permit, and work authorization processes
  • Advise on immigration strategies for scaling international teams
  • Coordinate with external providers and authorities

Operational Legal Support

  • Draft and review commercial agreements (vendors, landlords, service providers)
  • Coordinate with notaries, accountants, regulators, and external counsel
  • Support ongoing operational matters of the Polish entity
  • Help build and improve internal legal processes and workflows

Why this role is unique

  • Ownership – you will build and shape legal processes in Poland, not just follow them
  • Real impact – your work directly affects hiring, scaling, and daily operations
  • International exposure – work with teams across Europe and beyond
  • Growth trajectory – strong potential to expand into broader legal scope and leadership roles

We are looking for someone who

  • Has 2-4+ years of experience (law firm or in-house)
  • Has strong knowledge of Polish law (employment, contracts, immigration)
  • Is fluent in Polish and English
  • Can work independently and take ownership
  • Thinks in solutions, not problems
  • Is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, changing environment

Will be a strong plus

  • Experience working with international teams or foreign specialists
  • Exposure to immigration processes in Poland
  • Understanding of B2B contractor models
  • Experience in IT / product companies

The person we have in mind

  • Self-directed and proactive — you spot issues before they become problems
  • Clear communicator who can translate complex legal language into plain business English
  • Results- and deadline-oriented, even when priorities shift quickly
  • Comfortable with operational work — contract templates, documentation, compliance tracking — not just high-level strategy
  • Attentive to detail, especially when working with sensitive legal documents

What you get

  • Comfortable office in Warsaw with full support infrastructure with breakfasts, lunches, snacks, lounge zones, and everything you need to do your best work
  • Flexible working hours – we care about results, not clock-in times
  • Medical insurance
  • All necessary equipment
  • Access to internal education, lectures, and best-in-class learning resources
  • Work on real business problems, not abstract legal tasks
  • A key role in a global tech ecosystem
  • A team that values speed, ownership and clarity

If you are looking for a role where you can build, not just support – we would love to hear from you.
