Job Description
Tasks
- Responsible for developing and modifying IT Systems Software (i.e., software for use in operating/controlling hardware and providing a platform for running internal end user/business applications). The work includes:
- Identifying and analyzing business needs, conducting requirements gathering, and defining scope and objectives for the IT System
- Performing feasibility studies to develop software such as databases, operating systems, networks and utilities for hardware compatibility
- Writing code in lower-level programming languages and translating/compiling into machine language for use on specific hardware
- Supporting systems software testing, deployment, and maintenance activities by correcting programming errors and coding systems software enhancements.
- Supports the day-to-day running of software / platform engineering operations by working with users to capture requirements.
- Designs, develops, tests, operates and maintains software applications / infrastructure platforms, depending on specialism.
- Ensures all activities adhere to the relevant processes, procedures, standards, technical design and the need to design and build to operate / operate for design and build.
- Supports project delivery through providing basic technical expertise.
- Monitors and reports on potential risks/opportunities of emerging technologies.
- Complies with the function's safety and ethics rules and processes, and models organization's Values and Behaviors.

- Language skills: English B2
