Truck Loader

Summary Job Description

This position is responsible for operating scanning tools to stage and load product into trailers.

Essential Duties

• Manually loads and unloads shipments of furniture and related products to/from truck trailers
• Uses scanner tool to stage product in warehouse and on trucks
• Uses hand trucks and forklifts to transport items through the shipping or receiving area
• Required to read and understand ship documents
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures
• All other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience is preferred

• Must be able to walk and stand continuously throughout shift; sitting, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling and twisting as needed
• Must be able to frequently push, pull, grasp and use foot to operate controls
• Must be able to work in noisy environments
• Frequently lifting/carrying objects up to 50 lbs.; occasionally up to 100 lbs. with assistance
