We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking a Project Geologist or Hydrogeologist to work in a technical support role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is a full-time position located in our Phoenix, AZ office. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES In this position, you will: Split time and responsibilities between field assignments and office assignments. Lead portions of technical project work from project scoping through final deliverables under the direction of senior staff. Apply academic and industry knowledge, as well as learnings from prior work experience to execute project work . Provide training, guidance and informal mentoring to junior staff on their projects and within your technical discipline. Under the direction of the senior staff, participate in communications with client, agencies, and internal teams within your discipline. Oversee geologic site characterization including subsurface explorations water supply wells, monitoring well siting and construction, soil vapor probe installation, field sampling and waste management. Support and lead project teams with the interpretation, evaluation, and summarization of geologic data to make decisions for the project. Independently complete basic hydrogeologic and geologic data reduction, summarization and synthesis and provide project teams with concise summaries that include evaluation and proposed next steps. Perform all work in accordance with company and client Health Safety protocols. Demonstrate the company’s foundational safety behaviors. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Minimum Skills and Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Hydrogeology. 5+ years of related experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be proficient at writing technical reports to meet project requirements. Able to work independently on individual tasks supporting technical work and exhibit the ability to manage tasks and perform work on multiple projects or multiple tasks simultaneously. Desire to learn and grow in your profession, demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, resourcefulness, flexibility, and ownership. Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft suite, particularly Excel. Able to meet the physical requirements of the position: lift 50 lbs., traverse unstable/sloping sites and landscapes, work outside in a range of weather conditions, and have the stamina for moderate physical activity for the majority of field working hours. Able to travel to work locations intermittently for 1-week to 10-day time periods as needed. Preferred Skills: Master’s degree in Geology or Hydrogeology. Professional certification or planning to obtain professional certification. Experience with developing conceptual site models. OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and refresher updates.
