MRI TECHNOLOGIST (PRN- AS NEEDED)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body
• Knowledgeable of 3D anatomy and imaging protocols
• Screen patients before examination
• Prepare patient for MRI procedure and answer any questions
• Adjust scan parameters correctly
• Administer contrast media manually and with pressure injector accurately
• Enforce magnetic field safety for MRI patients, operator, and visitors
• Follow physician orders precisely
• Maintain ACR accreditation requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology program.

EXPERIENCE:

Candidates must have a minimum of one year experience in MRI scan applications.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• MRI Technologist License
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) Certification
• Advanced certification in MRI preferred

*If not registered, MRI Registration through ARRT required within 12 months of hire

• Basic Life Support Certification
