Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Game Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing mobile games, identifying bugs, ensuring gameplay quality, and collaborating with developers to improve the overall player experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Test games across different devices and platforms to identify bugs, glitches, and performance issues
- Execute test cases and perform functional, regression, usability, and compatibility testing
- Report and track bugs clearly using bug tracking tools
- Reproduce issues consistently and provide detailed documentation/screenshots/videos
- Verify bug fixes and ensure quality standards are maintained before release
- Provide feedback on gameplay, UI/UX, balancing, controls, and user experience
- Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and production teams
- Ensure games meet company quality standards and release requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Strong passion for gaming and understanding of game mechanics
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to identify edge-case issues
- Familiarity with bug tracking and project management tools
- Basic understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience testing mobile games (Android/iOS)
- Knowledge of Unity Engine workflows
- Familiarity with Jira, Trello, TestRail, or similar QA tools
- Understanding of game development lifecycle
- Experience with live ops or multiplayer testing is a plus
