Jewson, a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for a Transport Planner for our new distribution hub based in Glasgow, who's as passionate about great service as we are!

Working Hours: These will operate on a shift rotation of 6am-4pm Mon-Fri and 7am-5pm Mon-Fri, and every 2nd Sat 8am-12pm
Location: Craighall Road, Glasgow. G4 9TP
Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate transport operations alongside the on-site Transport Manager to meet customer demands
Communicate effectively and facilitate good working relationships with drivers, suppliers, and customers
Utilise Excel and Word to create transport schedules and reports and manage associated administrative tasks
Manage logistics, including route planning and vehicle allocation
Drive continuous improvement in transport processes
Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies

Required Skills and Experience
Logistic and transport planning experience with awareness of Transport Legislation
An understanding of building materials would be desirable
Ability to adapt to a fast paced, changing environment
Strong IT skills and regional geographic knowledge
Proactive, flexible and enthusiastic attitude
