Your Role in Synergy's Success

How You Will Contribute

The Commercial Process and Systems Lead will be instrumental in driving innovation and efficiency within our Commercial (Sales and Business Development) and Research & Development/Innovation teams. Reporting to the VP of IT - Americas, this role involves understanding their business processes, identifying opportunities to leverage technology (with a strong emphasis on CRM - Microsoft Dynamics, and PLM systems in the food and ingredient manufacturing industry), gathering requirements, and leading or contributing significantly to the delivery of technology solutions and projects that meet their needs. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills, capable of bridging the gap between business needs and successful technology implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Partnership: Serve as the primary contact and trusted partner for the Commercial and R&D teams, developing a comprehensive understanding of their strategic goals, operational processes, and technology requirements.

  • Requirements Elicitation & Documentation: Elicit, analyse, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements using various techniques (e.g., user stories, use cases, process flows) for CRM and PLM initiatives.

  • CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) Expertise: Apply extensive knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM to advise on best practices, identify optimization possibilities, and translate business requirements into effective CRM configurations and solutions.

  • Solution Design & Collaboration: Collaborate with IT teams and potentially external vendors to design technology solutions that address identified business needs and align with the overall technology strategy for both commercial and R&D functions.

  • Process Improvement: Analyse existing business processes in both commercial operations and product development, recommending technology-driven improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and data accuracy within both domains.

  • Project Involvement & Delivery: Participate in or lead small to medium-sized technology projects for the Commercial and R&D teams. This includes contributing to project plans, managing tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery of solutions.

  • Testing & Validation: Participate in the testing process, including developing test plans and conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements for CRM and PLM implementations.

  • Training & Support: Provide guidance and support to end-users on the effective use of technology solutions, particularly Microsoft Dynamics CRM and the PLM system. Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for users.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years experience working with Dynamics CRM, Salesforce or other CRM systems

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst.

  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, including configuration, customization, and understanding of its core modules and functionalities.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Significant and demonstrable experience working with PLM systems relevant to the food and ingredient manufacturing sector.

  • Experience supporting Commercial (Sales, Business Development) and Research & Development teams within the food and ingredient manufacturing industry.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including scientists, sales professionals, and IT personnel.

  • Demonstrated experience in contributing to or leading small to medium-sized technology projects, including task management and stakeholder communication.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment supporting diverse user groups.

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) .

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements for both CRM and PLM systems.

Salary range: $ 125,000 - $169,000

The actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors. This role will remain open until filled.
