Tate & Lyle Global Shared Services Centre in Łódź is the principal location for handling business support activities and processes for Tate & Lyle, both transactional and value-added business partnering support. Starting operations in 2011 with fewer than 50 team members, we now have over 350 team members supporting operations globally. We have 30 teams operating in Łódź to provide service in the areas of Finance, Customer Service, Procurement, HR/People Services, and IS/IT.

ROLE PURPOSE

The purpose of this role is the global sourcing of low-value/risk goods & services. This role will also assist and support in the development of appropriate strategies for identified Category portfolios. The role holder will contribute to the procurement plan and help deliver savings. Through excellent communication skills and stakeholder management, the role holder will ensure that cross-business opportunities within the assigned remit are actively embraced. The role supports both the Global Category Sr. Manager and Director in identifying opportunities in the Procurement Process from PR/PO, Spend Data Analytics, Pipeline Management, and Sourcing opportunities.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Prepare and/or support preparation of RFI/RFQ, Sourcing strategy, and Contract To Award documentation within supported categories.
  • Manage & award low-value/risk contracts (< $250k) in respective categories.
  • Enter purchase orders into the system, and ensure the system is maintained where appropriate. Resolve invoicing issues as necessary.
  • Enter Outline Agreements/Scheduling Agreements into the SAP system and ensure regular maintenance.
  • Control & compliance.
  • Analysis of spend.
  • Identify opportunities/efficiencies.
  • Maintain contracts in the contract database.
  • Collect and analyze data ensuring accuracy and data quality.
  • Support business and procurement stakeholders with preparation of material for monthly meetings and dashboards as needed.
  • Assist in the development of category strategies and plans, including but not limited to working with Category Teams to provide streamlined data analysis.
  • Monitor and maintain data and output to ensure we are maximizing value from internal and external systems.
  • Interpret and apply the Global Procurement Procedures and Policies.
  • Lead cost reduction initiatives and help ensure savings targets are met.
  • Challenge business requirements and specifications where appropriate to deliver best value.
  • Ensure on-time delivery and quality targets are met.
  • Be involved with supplier selection, rationalization, and reduction.
  • Manage supplier relationships in a capable, thorough, and professional manner.
  • Deliver accurate management information for the Procurement function to support Global projects and Business as Usual.

  • An understanding of the Supplier market for low-value purchases.
  • Monitoring supplier performance.
  • Contract negotiation and understanding of drafting.
  • Standard written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
