Client Distribution Lead, Benelux Amsterdam, Netherlands (Hybrid Working) An exciting position is now available in our Distribution team for a Client Distribution Lead with focus on Belgium and Netherlands
In this role you will actively managing and expanding client and broker relationships, drive profitable growth and retention by partnering closely with Underwriting and other internal stakeholders, while aligning AXA XL’s capabilities with clients’ and brokers’ risk management strategies
Through strategic account leadership, proactive market engagement, and the delivery of tailored, innovative solutions, you will strengthens AXA XL’s market positioning and enhances the company’s reputation across the Benelux region
What you’ll be DOING What will your essential
include
Lead strategic client and broker relationships across a portfolio of Benelux Strategic Accounts, driving long‑term value and engagement
Act as the client and broker advocate within AXA XL, ensuring needs are understood, prioritized, and effectively delivered
Drive profitable growth and retention through new business, renewals, and cross‑selling in close partnership with Underwriting
Own portfolio performance against retention, premium growth, and profitability targets while maintaining underwriting discipline
Coordinate underwriting, claims, and middle office teams to deliver seamless multi‑line and mono‑line client solutions
Leverage market insight and client feedback to shape solutions, enhance service quality, and continuously improve client experience
You will report to the Head of Distribution
BRING We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Bachelor’s Degree preferred and equivalent experience, deep knowledge of the global and Benelux insurance markets (clients, brokers, and competition); extensive experience managing client and broker relationships and driving business development, with robust customer orientation and communication skills
Solid understanding of underwriting, insurance operations, and risk management, with the ability to analyze complex risks and translate them into client‑focused solutions
Proven track record of delivering profitable growth through strategic planning, execution discipline, and progress monitoring aligned with retention and profitability targets
Effective sales, negotiation, presentation, and senior stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across internal and external stakeholders
Entrepreneurial, results‑driven self‑starter with high levels of accountability, adaptability, and effectiveness in matrix, international organizations
Fluent in English and Dutch
Willingness to travel regularly across Belgium and the Netherlands
