Job Description

Job Summary

The Plumber is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all plumbing systems and fixtures across the property. This role ensures the efficient operation of water supply, drainage, and sanitation systems while supporting guest comfort and operational continuity. The Plumber plays a key role in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards, contributing to overall property upkeep and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities 1. Plumbing Operations & Maintenance

Plumbing Repairs: Diagnose and repair plumbing issues such as leaks, clogged drains, and faulty fixtures to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Installation: Install and maintain pipe systems, fittings, valves, and plumbing fixtures including sinks, toilets, and appliances.

System Testing: Conduct pressure tests and inspections to identify leaks and ensure proper functionality of plumbing systems.

Blueprint Interpretation: Review building plans, specifications, and codes to plan and execute installations accurately.

2. Facilities & Technical Support

Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine checks on plumbing systems and related equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend asset lifespan.

General Maintenance: Support minor repairs across mechanical, electrical, and facility systems as required.

Inventory Management: Maintain stock levels of plumbing materials and tools, ensuring availability for ongoing maintenance needs.

Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with Engineering and other departments during repairs, upgrades, and maintenance projects.

3. Safety, Compliance & Quality Assurance

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper tool usage, PPE, and compliance with hazardous material handling guidelines.

Maintenance Reporting: Identify and report safety hazards, system faults, and maintenance requirements promptly.

Quality Standards: Ensure all work meets company standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements.

Emergency Response: Support response to plumbing emergencies and assist in property-wide emergency procedures.

4. Guest & Team Support

Guest Service: Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and ensure minimal disruption while delivering high service standards.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering and other departments to ensure efficient service delivery.

Communication: Maintain clear, professional communication with guests, team members, and supervisors regarding maintenance activities.

Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, installation methods, and repair techniques.

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues quickly and implement effective corrective actions.

Safety Awareness: Understanding of safety standards, building codes, and compliance requirements.

Communication & Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Physical Capability: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and working in confined or elevated spaces.
