Actual compensation within the range will be determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications.Summary:The HVAC Energy Management Consultant (EMC) is responsible for driving revenue growth through the sale of HVAC equipment under Enercare's Rental Advantage Program to commercial B2B customers while expanding our presence and success in the ICI tender market. This role requires a technically strong, entrepreneurial sales professional with proven experience quoting mechanical HVAC projects, navigating tenders, while leveraging AI-enabled tools to improve speed, accuracy, and win rates in the ICI space. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to property managers, facility operators, general contractors, and developers.Key Responsibilities:
Commercial HVAC Sales – Enercare Advantage Program (B2B)
Prospect, qualify, and close opportunities, offering HVAC products under Enercare's Rental Advantage Program across a mixed commercial customer base
Properly scope sites to ensure proposed equipment will meet or exceed customer's expectations.
Develop and present competitive proposals, contracts, and solution recommendations
Identify opportunities to upsell other products and solutions
ICI Tender & Bid Development
Lead and support ICI mechanical tenders, RFQs, and RFPs from opportunity identification through submission
Perform takeoffs, scope reviews, pricing strategies, and compliance checks
Collaborate with internal engineering, operations, and installation teams to align bid scope and execution
Track tender outcomes and continuously improve bid strategy and win-rate effectiveness
Utilize AI-powered tools to accelerate estimating, scope analysis, cost modeling, and proposal generation
Continuously improve quoting accuracy, turnaround time, and competitiveness through advanced technology
Relationship & Market Development
Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers in:
Property management
Facilities management
General contractors
Developers and consulting engineers
Identify new market segments, verticals, and referral channels
Actively contribute market intelligence and competitive insights to leadership
CRM & Pipeline Management
Maintain accurate records of accounts, opportunities, tenders, and forecasts in CRM (Salesforce)
Manage pipeline health from lead generation to contract execution
Support reporting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives
Qualifications & Experience:
Required
2+ years of B2B HVAC or mechanical technical sales experience
Demonstrated experience quoting mechanical HVAC projects, including ICI tenders
General knowledge of HVAC systems (boilers, chillers, rooftop units, air handlers, hydronics)
Proven ability to meet or exceed sales and margin targets
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
Strong Assets
Direct experience selling to commercial businesses
Proven success in ICI or large commercial bid environments
Experience using AI tools for estimating, pricing, or proposal development
Proficiency with Salesforce, MS Office, and estimating platforms
Post-secondary education in business, engineering, or a technical discipline
